Best 10 Days Morocco Tour from Casablanca

Arrive in the Mohamed V International Aiport or pick up from accommodation in Casablanca before driving to the city center where we will make a visit to the dramatic Hassan II Mosque. It is the third-largest mosque in the world with its minaret that dominates the horizons of the city.

Have a nice drive by the paved Corniche of Ain Diab and visit the Rick’s Cafe before driving to your hotel where you will spend the first night.

After breakfast, we will head to Rabat, which is the administrative and the official capital of Morocco. Begin exploring the city of Rabat at the Oudayas Kasbah that is located by the everflowing Bou Regreg River, the Atlantic Ocean and the adjacent city of Sale. 

Later, you will stretch your legs by the dramatic Hassan Tower and visit the Mohamed V Mausoleum where the grand father, father and uncle of Morocco’s king are buried. After that we will drive north to the blue city of Chefchaouen through the fertile plain of Gharb.

Arrive in Chefchaouen and spend the rest of the day meandering the beautifully painted streets of the blue-city. Visit the Kasbah that is located in the heart of the Medina dating back to the 15th century when Moulay Ali Ibn Rashid decided to build a fortress to fight against the Spanish and the Portuguese Invaders. Get to the panoramic Ras el-Ma spring before getting back to the Utta el-Hammam Square with its lined cafes and restaurants where you can enjoy a drink while watching the passers-by.

Today, our 10 days Morocco tour from Casablanca will lead us south to the imperial city of Fes driving through the spectacular Rif Mountains and passing by the Roman Ruins of Volubilis where we will have a guided walking tour.

Continue on the track to the 17th century imperial capital of Meknes. Begin exploring this mysterious city from the impressive Bab (gate) Mansour, stretch your legs in the el-Hedim Square and the olive market. 

Visit the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum (the founder of Meknes), then have a drive along the high walls of the royal palace before getting to the royal granaries and stables (it is in here the Sultan used to look after his 12.000 horses and store grains).

Continue on the track to Fes through the highway where we will spend our third night.

After breakfast, we will devote the firt half-day to exploring what Fes has to offer with a local tour guide. Drive uphill where you can enjoy a majestic view of the Fes el-Bali (oldest Fes), which is listed by the UNESCO as world heritage site and is the largest car-free district in the world. Your private tour guide will provide an overview about Fes including its rich and interesting history.

Take pictures by the golden gates of the royal palace, visit the Mellah (former Jewish Quarter), then explore the Fes el-Bali. The Medina of Fes is known for its countless labyrinthine alleyways that are shrouded in mystery with its bustling cafes and restaurants, unique style of life and rich culture.

Pass by mosques including the famous al-Qarawyyin University and visit the Chouara Tanneries where the best quality of leather is being made. After lunch, we will head south passing by the charming city of Ifrane, then the UNESCO listed cedar forest that hosts a colony of Barbary Macaques before arriving in Midelt where we will spend our fourth night.

Today, we will continue on the track further south to the majestic Sahara desert of Merzouga crossing the Atlas Mountains and taking pictures in the panoramic Ziz Valley. Upon arrival in the desert, you will have a camel trek in the soft and golden sand while watching the breathtaking view of the sunset.

Get to the luxury desert camp where our staff members will welcome you with tea and pastries. Enjoy a delicious meal for dinner then have a session of music before culminating the day with a nice sleep in your private and ensuite tent.

Early wake up in the morning, enjoy the miraculous view of the sunrise and after having breakfast we will resume our 10 days Morocco tour from Casablanca by driving through the city of Erfoud, which is known for fossils and dates.

Stretch your legs in the impressive Todra Gorge(Canyon) with its high cliffs that keep attracting mountain climbers and nature seekers. Later, we will drive to the lush Dades Valley where we will spend our 6th night in a nice and comfortable hotel/Riad.

After breakfast, we will head to Marrakech while driving through the lush valley of roses with the option to include a visit to a local cooperative as a way to form an idea about the local products such rose water, perfumes, lotions, soaps, and much more.

Drive across the city of Ouarzazate (Hollywood of Africa) with the option to make a visit to the Atlas Film Studios that has turned the region into a backdrop among the filmmakers. Later, we will have a guided walking tour of the dramatic Ksar of Ait Benhaddou before continuing on the track to Marrakech with a nice drive through the spectacular Atlas Mountains over the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260m).

Today, we will devote the day to exploring the best of Marrakech with a local tour guide. Visit the gardens of Majorelle that are botanical gardens owned by Yves Saint Laurent and was founded by the artist Jacques Majorelle who spent most of his life collecting plants from all over the world.

Have a guided walking tour around the mysterious and vibrant Medina of Marrakech starting from the dramatic La Koutoubia Mosque, which is the landmark of Marrakech and dates back to the 12th century.

Visit the Saadian Tombs, the Bahia Palace, the Souks (markets) before ending the tour of Marrakech in the Jemaa el-Fna Square (the focal point of Marrakech) that turns into a carnival filled with musicians, snake charmers, storytellers, fortune-tellers, acrobats, magicians and food stalls that sell Moroccan delicacies.

After breakfast, we will drive west to the city of Essaouira that is located by the Atlantic Ocean. En route, you may want to include a visit to a local cooperative of Argan where you can learn how the process of making Argan oil and its products using traditional methods. 

Explore the mysterious city of Essaouira with its fortified Medina, traditional fishing port, bastions, sandy beach that keeps attracting surfers and kitesurfers. Visit the fish market and enjoy a freshly fish grilled meal before spending our last night in a nice and comfortable hotel/Riad in the magic city.
